The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) host a virtual round table: Business Growth and Trade in the Intangibles.
The purpose of the round table is to exchange views on how to best support business growth and trade in the global economy of intangibles. Specifically, the discussion will focus on the following three areas:
- Digital trade: COVID-19 economic recovery and Canadian businesses;
- Data governance: balancing privacy, security and economic opportunities; and
- Fostering competitiveness: innovation and intellectual property strategy.
Minister Ng is keen to help businesses succeed in the intangible economy of the future, and looking to discuss ways business leaders, industry experts and members of academia can help inform policies and initiatives that can support efforts in this space.
The Honourable Mary Ng was elected as Member of Parliament for Markham–Thornhill in April 2017.
