The Honourable Mary Ng, minister of small business, export promotion and international trade, and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) host a virtual round table on "Business Growth and Trade in the Intangibles."
The purpose of this round table is to exchange views on how to best support business growth and trade in the global economy of intangibles. Specifically, the discussion will focus on the following three areas:
- digital trade (COVID-19 economic recovery and Canadian businesses);
- data governance (balancing privacy, security and economic opportunities); and
- fostering competitiveness (innovation and intellectual property strategy).
Minister Ng is keen to help businesses succeed in the intangibles economy of the future and discuss ways business leaders, industry experts and members of academia can help inform policies and initiatives that support efforts in this space.
