CIGI’s new Digital Policy Hub program is a transdisciplinary space where students and professionals from across Canada come together to produce research on the rapid evolution and governance of transformative technologies (the full news release on its establishment can be found here). To showcase the work of its inaugural cohort, the Hub is hosting a research conference at the CIGI Campus in Waterloo, Ont., on December 20, 2023. This full-day event is open to the internal CIGI community, Digital Policy Hub guest speakers, academic supervisors and select external guests.
The Digital Policy Hub fellows will present findings from their first working papers, to be published in early 2024 on the Hub’s virtual space. Presentations will spotlight policy questions and solutions relating to the emergence of disruptive technology across sectors both in Canada and internationally. The conference will mark the first speaking engagement for several of the program’s fellows and serve as an opportunity for CIGI and the wider community to meet the cohort face-to-face.
