The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is pleased to present a public address by Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, Timothy Lane on the topic of Capital Flows in a Global and Canadian Context.

Deputy Governor Lane will be introduced by Domenico Lombardi, Director of CIGI’s Global Economy Program, and the question period will be moderated by Pierre Siklos, CIGI Senior Fellow.

The presentation begins at noon, and will be preceded by a complimentary light lunch beginning at 11am in the CIGI Campus Foyer.

Event Speakers

Timothy Lane became deputy governor of the Bank of Canada in 2009. In this role, he oversees the Bank’s analysis of international economic developments and shares responsibility for setting monetary policy in Canada.

Domenico Lombardi is the former director of the Global Economy Program and a former member of the executive management committee at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). He serves on the advisory boards of the Peterson Institute for International Economics and the Bretton Woods Committee in Washington, and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Asian Economic Panel.

Pierre Siklos is a CIGI senior fellow. His research interests include applied time series analysis and monetary policy, with a focus on inflation and financial markets.
