UNCTAD - Fourth Session: E-commerce and the Digital Economy

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is hosting its fourth session with the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on E-commerce and the Digital Economy. This session will focus on: 

  1. Digital platforms and value creation in developing countries: Implications for national and international policies.

  2. Working group on measuring e-commerce and the digital economy.

Participants will hear from international experts including Robert (Bob) Fay, managing director of digital economy at CIGI, who will discuss with fellow panellists the role of international policymaking and cooperation in promoting a more inclusive digital economy.

Event Speakers

Robert (Bob) Fay is managing director of digital economy at CIGI and responsible for research direction and related activities. He has extensive experience in macro- and micro-economic research and policy analysis.
