Valerie Hughes is senior counsel with Bennett Jones LLP in Ottawa, Canada, where she practices international trade law. She is also a senior fellow at CIGI and an adjunct assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, where she teaches international trade law. Valerie served as director of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Legal Affairs Division (2010-2016) and director of the WTO Appellate Body Secretariat (2001-2005).
Christopher S. Yoo is a CIGI senior fellow and the John H. Chestnut Professor of Law, Communication, and Computer Information Science and the founding director of the Center for Technology, Innovation and Competition at the University of Pennsylvania.
Jean-Frédéric Morin is a CIGI senior fellow, effective May 2016. He is also associate professor at Laval University, where he holds the Canada Research Chair in International Political Economy.
Teresa Scassa is a CIGI senior fellow. She is also the Canada Research Chair in Information Law and Policy and a full professor at the University of Ottawa’s Law Faculty, where her groundbreaking research explores issues of data ownership and control.
Paul Jenkins is a CIGI distinguished fellow. His research focuses on international policy coordination and financial stability, with a particular interest in the G20. Previously he served as senior deputy governor of the Bank of Canada.
Hector Torres is a senior fellow at CIGI and is a former executive director at the International Monetary Fund.
