Toward a World-Class Health Data System: University of Waterloo-CIGI Virtual Conference on Health Data was jointly hosted by the University of Waterloo and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). Our goal was to explore the intersection between health data, digital health and governance for the betterment of our society and improved public health outcomes. In collaboration with leading experts throughout Canada and globally, the conference aimed to inform and educate, while encouraging constructive dialogue. Following the conference, a joint summary document will be published, capturing key insights and recommendations for systemic change that we hope will inspire innovators, students, health-care workers, policy makers and advocates to work toward better public policy. The event took place on April 6 and 7, 2022.
