Sarah Burch is a senior fellow with CIGI’s Global Economy Program, where she is contributing to research on financing sustainable development, focused on the exploration of innovative solutions to address challenges associated with climate change and sustainability. Sarah is a Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Sustainability Governance and Innovation, and assistant professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management, University of Waterloo, Canada.
Wil Burns is a CIGI senior fellow with the International Law Research Program, involved in the program’s research on climate geoengineering governance. Wil has published more than 75 articles in law, policy and science journals and has co-edited five books. He holds a Ph.D. in international environmental law from the University of Wales-Cardiff School of Law.
Roger Cox is a CIGI senior fellow with the International Law Research Program, effective September 2015. An expert in climate change law, he is partner at the Dutch law firm Paulussen Advocaten and was the lead lawyer for the Urgenda Foundation, which won a controversial decision in June 2015 when The Hague District Court ordered the Dutch government to cut greenhouse gas emissions by at least 25 percent by 2020.
Neil Craik is a CIGI senior fellow with the International Law Research Program, effective June 2015. He is an associate professor at the University of Waterloo with appointments to the Balsillie School of International Affairs and the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development, where he teaches and researches in the fields of international and Canadian environmental law.
Simon Dalby is a CIGI senior fellow and professor of geography and environmental studies at Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) in Waterloo, where he teaches courses on governance, security and environment in the Balsillie School of International Affairs.
David Runnalls is a distinguished fellow and was formerly acting director of the Environment and Energy Program at CIGI. He also provided strategic advice and support for CIGI Chair Jim Balsillie’s role at the United Nations High-level Panel on Global Sustainability. He remains a distinguished fellow at the International Institute for Sustainable Development and a senior fellow at Sustainable Prosperity. David is chair of the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development.
