The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is hosting a captivating presentation as part of the Certificate Program in Public Sector Leadership and Governance, in collaboration with the University of Ottawa. This program aims to cultivate senior public service leaders who can effectively manage and govern in both national and global contexts.

At the heart of this program is the exchange of knowledge and insights with distinguished practitioners who have excelled in their fields. Their invaluable experiences will guide participants in their professional development journey.

In line with this mission, CIGI is excited to delve deeper into the realm of technological change, recognizing its increasing significance in today’s world. Led by CIGI President Paul Samson and a team of esteemed senior fellows, this presentation will delve into understanding technological change, exploring key trends both domestically and internationally, and discussing the essential leadership competencies required to navigate this dynamic landscape.

Event Speakers

Joel Blit is a CIGI senior fellow and an associate professor of economics at the University of Waterloo, where he chairs the Council on Innovation Policy.

Neil Desai is a CIGI senior fellow and an executive in residence with the Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst.

Meg King is the founder of the Wilson Center’s Technology Labs and former director of the Science and Technology Innovation Program.

Vass Bednar is a CIGI senior fellow working at the intersection of technology and public policy.

Paul Samson is president of CIGI. He has 30 years of experience across a range of policy issues with partners from around the world. He is a former senior government official and also served for many years as co-chair of the principal G20 working group on the global economy.
