The past year has seen major shifts driving global governance conversations — from cyberthreats and AI-driven warfare technology in Russia’s war on Ukraine to questions around surveillance and shifting trade alliances driven by China.
But what perhaps captured the most attention, as well as our imaginations, was ChatGPT, the first out of the gate in an explosion of generative AI tools. For CIGI, it’s an example of the kind of governance challenges that we’ve evolved to tackle.
