The State of Responsible Tech in Business: Artificial Intelligence

During the past few years, the conversation about responsible technology has intensified. Increasingly, we are seeing that technology is not and can never be neutral, that it holds significant implications for people and society, and that intelligent technologies have consequences. Threats to democracy and society, as well as their considerable resources and technical capability, are not the only issues at play. There are other factors that must be considered: the scale of social media platforms, the technologies on which they are built and the economic environments in which they operate.

On Wednesday, February 19, 2020, CIGI Senior Fellow Susan Etlinger came to CIGI and offered her expertise on the state of responsible tech in business, specifically related to artificial intelligence.
