Canada has released its 2.3 billion national AI strategy, however industry experts view the plan as a mix of opportunities and challenges.

Financial Post spoke to CIGI's Executive Director of the Global AI Risks Initiative, Duncan Cass-Beggs to get his perspective on the strategy. "The national plan “rightly advances” steps to strengthen AI sovereignty, but falls short on addressing the potential national and global security risks posed by AI," notes Duncan.
