Bessma Momani, a CIGI senior fellow, appeared on Aljazeera to discuss a new UNHCR report showing that the number of asylum seekers from Saudi Arabia has tripled over the last five years, and to shed light on potential reasons for this spike:

"There will be an increasing number of Saudis who are just not willing to take the grand bargain that's being offered to them by the regime, which is, you know, 'enjoy life as a consumer; you will have more freedom, social freedom, more theatre, more music concerts, but at the same time, you can't speak your mind.'"
