"It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to tonight’s reception, hosted by the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) Waterloo.

We gather here tonight, in celebration of the inaugural meeting of the Canada-India Dialogue on Innovation, Growth, and Prosperity. Tomorrow’s meeting, and the others to follow, will further develop and strengthen the many ties between Canada and India, and allow us to move forward – together – to pursue our common interests. Such cooperation and collaboration will help enhance the Canada-India bilateral relationship, and advance prosperity in both of our great democracies.

Thank you to the organizers for making this evening possible and to all in attendance for coming to participate.

Please accept my warmest welcome and best wishes for a successful event!"
