The federal government wants to hear from residents as it crafts solutions to the global issue of climate change and along with a broad coalition of local organizations will host a climate town hall on Aug. 18 at the Kitchener City Hall rotunda. [...] In preparation for the Aug. 18 event in Kitchener, Citizens’ Climate Lobby and Divest Waterloo have organized a public meeting to discuss the issue of climate change, and possible options for Canada to reduce its carbon footprint. That meeting is scheduled for tonight (Aug. 11) at 7 p.m. at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI).
