Walking with Grandmother Moon: Advancing UNDRIP in Space Governance

Several legal instruments protect space from unlawful activities. These include the Outer Space Treaty and the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. This working paper argues that Indigenous perspectives must be respected to ensure that space exploration, especially commercial and state activities, are sustainable and follow international law.
